An accurate diagnosis is the first step in treating any condition. If your doctor does not understand all the factors that contribute to your hair loss, they cannot effectively treat it.
After more than 25 years of research and clinical treatment, Dr Nettles has discovered that the factors responsible for hair loss can be as unique as each individual. As a result, he developed a comprehensive set of lab panels to identify not only the factors contributing to hair loss, but that also impact your overall health and well-being.
Dr Nettles discovered that both genetic and lifestyle factors contribute to hair loss. For 95% of hair loss cases, there is a genetic component involved, and for most of those, the condition is made worse by lifestyle factors such as nutrition, stress or other health issues.
The Biochemical Report Card test panels cover all those areas so that we can understand exactly what is and is not contributing to your hair loss. The comprehensive test set, contains the minimum tests required to assess your condition and what the Stop and Regrow hair regrowth program can do for you.

You can purchase your biochemical report card test panels online here if you don't have insurance to cover it.
The cost of your Biochemical Report Card can vary depending on your insurance coverage. Dr Nettles has negotiated a cash pay price for the tests when billed through our account due to the volume of these tests that we order on a daily, weekly and annual basis. Please review the below payment options to see which is best suited for you.
PPO Insurance Coverage
If you have a PPO insurance that covers labs without a copay or you have met your deductible then the answer is yes, most likely the Biochemical Report Card tests will be fully covered for you.
Just be careful if you have a high deductible which you have not yet met, as the labs at full cost when billed to insurance range from $1,600 to $1,900. In that case, you may wish to take advantage of our cash pay price below instead.
HMO Insurance (incl. Kaiser)
If you are insured with an HMO (and this includes Kaiser), labs are generally covered only if ordered by your primary care physician (PCP). If you have a good relationship with your PCP we can work with you to have them order the tests you need so they are covered. Please note many of the tests we need are not regularly ordered or understood by other doctors (including specialists), so getting all the tests ordered can sometimes be challenging.
Stop and Regrow Cash Pay Price
Because we do so many of these tests on a regular basis, we have been able to negotiate the discounted rates listed below when they are billed directly to us and we can pass on those discounts to you.
